Crystals for broken bones?

I just mentioned this in the last post. My poor little 7 year old niece came off her bike last week and fractured her wrist. I want to give her a crystal, or 2, to put in her sling/tape to her plaster. Does anyone have experience of broken bones and crystals and or Specificly with children? I know I could look it up, but wanted the more personal advice from the experts. Thanks :)

I havent used it, for broken bones, but selenite is a good crystal for lining up, making ends meet,  and works on the bone structure, the colour resonates too......and a gentle crystal for a child....

So sorry to hear about your niece's accident Serene, a fractured wrist is a painful thing, I did mine on a skateboard when I was 10.
She'll be in my healing thoughts. smile.gif

I don't have any experience of broken bones and crystals. But when my friend's little girl broke her collar bone I gave her a couple of crystals to put in her sling! I can't remember which ones, it was whatever I was instinctively drawn to at the time. What I do remember though is that she seemed to pale and in pain and in shock and I just felt she needed something really soothing and loving. So I think one of them may have been rosequartz!

Perhaps you could look at it from that perspective too... her emotional being. It can be such a shock and even traumatic at that age to experience, especially with all the ensuing hospitals and so on... I'm really strongly thinking rosequartz and even perhaps a gentle calcite..which also has the healing properties associated with it,

Specifically for bones I'm thinking fluorite, malachite and apatite. Apparently we have apatite crystals within our bones responsible for regrowth, not that they look anything like the apatite that bones from the ground, but there must be a natural affinity with the crystal for the healing of broken bones.smile.gif

Rosey already suggested selenite, I got a really clear visual of that too alongside rosequartz (the crystal!) when I read you post. Imagine those long smooth striated lines of the selenite and the gentle alignment of the bones!

Much love and hugs to you and your niece Serene!smile.gif

Now I hardly know anything about crystals and crystal energy but the first thing that came to my mind was Calcite and Rosequarts too. My reasoning behind rosequarts is because I heard that rosequarts is one of the stones used for the Heart Chakra, Am I right? And with the heart chakra, I think automatically think healing and calcite has calcium in it, which is also the main component of bone so it may help with fractured bones.

Sorry I'm just typing what I'm thinking and I could be wrong as I'm crystal noob lol

Sorry about your Neice's wrist BTW I hope she gets better soon!

Thank you all for your thoughtful advice, you are all so sweet! smile.gif I'm so silly, I really had not thought about the emotional part Pure-ki. Poor little thing, she is really shaken still. I think she would love rose quartz. I also all of a sudden thought how nice it would be for her to choose her own crystal. That way she can pick what she thinks is right. I'm seeing her tomorrow, so I'll let you know. Thanks again. smile.gif

Great idea Serene! Children have that uncanny sense of knowing without having to try don't they? So much less clutter to get in the way of that natural ability. smile.gif

I do hope she is feeling a bit better in herself now, although her wrist will take a while yet to heal. smile.gif

Keep us updated and many more healing thoughts in her direction!

and ..if she chooses her special crystal, and she beleives it will make it better, then it will...thats positive cosmic ordering.. child style IMO

Guess what she chose? Probably the least likely one I thought she'd go for, Hematite! I think she likes shiny! She looked so much better and was running around again, so maybe she needed something different that day. She put it in her sling and went happily off to play with her brother, but when she left she gave it back, so maybe it did it's job. smile.gif Thanks for your advice everyone. smile.gif

Lol! I don't think any of us mentioned haematite! But... I think it actually is another good one for bones!biggrin.gif

I'm glad she's feeling more perky now Serene, thanks for the update!

It sounds like she knew on some level the crystal had done it's bit and she didn't need it any longer!

Haematite is a pokey little number, probably for the best she wasn't walking (running!)around with that in her sling all day long! smile.gif

Yep, I can see haemetite working now........it aligns to the base chakra by its weight and groundedness, and the bones are under the influence of the base chakra are they not????biggrin
